Introduction to Aurocafe
Consciousness conundrums, quantum quandaries, the evolution of reality, and all that
Welcome to Aurocafe, a newsletter of indeterminate frequency by me, Ulrich Mohrhoff, about issues in the philosophy of mind/consciousness, in philosophy of science, and about whatever matters in the long run, such as a world view which will ensure that there is a long run.
I have published numerous peer-reviewed papers in various foundational journals as well as a textbook with the preposterous title The World According to Quantum Mechanics: Why the Laws of Physics Make Perfect Sense After All (World Scientific, 2nd edition 2018). This was written while teaching a philosophically oriented course of quantum mechanics at the Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education in Pondicherry, India, where I live.
I consider myself well versed about quantum physics, the philosophy of consciousness, and the life and works of Sri Aurobindo. While I am no adept in any one of these areas, I am probably better acquainted with all three than any expert in a single one or even the first two areas. And when it comes to the aforesaid worldview, none is more relevant than the third.
Unlike many newsletters on this platform, Aurocafe does not require a paid subscription. But if you like this newsletter, or any particular post, you can thank me by sharing it, and if you have a few bucks to spare, you can buy me a coffee.
